Tree Tops Clubs supports Summer of Play campaign!
Tree Tops Clubs, one of the top after school and holiday club providers for children aged between 4 – 12 years old, joins a number of leading organisations including the ArsenalFoundation, Lego and the Greggs Foundation, in supporting the Summer of Play campaign, which aims to help create a programme full of fun and exciting activities for children to stay active and make new friends over the summer months.
Coordinated by a number of charities in the UK, including Play England and Save the children, the Summer of Play campaign calls for children’s play to be prioritised this summer to help kids recover from the impact of repeated lockdowns. The campaign gives those who’ve been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic the opportunity to play and have fun throughout the summer.
Nick Mealey, CEO of Tree Tops Clubs said: “Play is vital for children’s physical and mental health and development, yet coronavirus restrictions have greatly limited children’s access to play and enjoy outdoor activities, including holiday clubs. We pledge to ensure our holiday clubs offer both indoor and outdoor activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and science, that are fun, but also focus on team building, creating friendships, and learning through play.
Anita Grant, the chair of Play England, said: “This campaign is for the next generations’ health, happiness and wellbeing. Playing freely allows brains to think, skills to develop, and creativity and imagination to flow. Now is the time to make space for play and to allow children to recover.”
Tree Tops Clubs operate in over 40+ locations in the South East of England and Leeds, and are competitively priced from just £26 per day and offer payment options through both the government’s tax-free childcare scheme and childcare vouchers.
