Tree Tops Clubs welcomes local mayors to join in the summer holiday fun!

Tree Tops Clubs have been visited by six Mayors representing their local council this month.

In light of the government's Holiday Activities and Food programme 2021, the Mayors arrived to witness the amazing work and fun activities the children are enjoying at their local clubs.

The school holidays can be a tough time for many parents because of the added costs of food and childcare during the summer months. The government-funded HAF programme allows children to take part in enrichment activities and eat more healthily in a safe environment while not being isolated on their summer holidays, particularly after the repeated lockdowns.

Tree Tops Clubs are proud of their HAF programmes working with the local authorities across England. Due to the success of the scheme, a number of clubs were visited from the club’s respective Mayors. The Mayor of Hillingdon made the first visit to Botwell Green and further visitations by the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Slough, Elmbridge, Hatfield and Haywards Heath.

Nick Mealey, CEO of Tree Tops Clubs said:

“It’s been a pleasure to welcome some of the local mayors to our holiday clubs this summer to see what the team and children get up to over the summer, and how we have adapted our clubs to take part in the HAF scheme. We are proud to have run 22 HAF clubs this summer, ensuring thousands of children had a summer of fun!”
