You hear the term Ofsted floating around a great deal, but what are the benefits of sending your children to an Outstanding Ofsted school club?
You hear the term Ofsted floating around a great deal when you have children at school, but what does the term really mean, and what are the benefits of sending your children to an Outstanding Ofsted school club?
What is Ofsted?
Ofsted stands for the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They are an independent and impartial non-ministerial department responsible for ‘the inspection and regulation of educational institutions including independent schools, state schools, academies and childcare facilities.’
What does Ofsted mean?
Schools and childcare providers are expected to operate at certain standards to ensure the health and safety of the children. Ofsted ranks schools based on inspections, and the Ofsted rating is the ‘final score’ of the information gathered during that inspection.
There are four Ofsted ratings: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, and Inadequate, which reflect the overall quality of the school or childcare group.
So where is Tree Tops on this rating?
Tree Tops Clubs received an Outstanding rating in 2018, meaning that our team performs “exceptionally well for the needs of its pupils and prepares them for the next stage of their education.” In September 2019 Ofsted changed the inspection grading for Out of School Clubs (Breakfast, After School and Holiday Clubs), to a ‘Met’ and ‘Not Met’ grading. We are pleased to say that all Tree Tops Clubs that have been inspected under the new grading have ‘Met’ the necessary standards.
What does this mean for you and your children?
Aside from ensuring that your child will always receive the highest possible level of care at Tree Tops Clubs, our rating outlines that they are able to play and learn in a safe and fun environment where they can make friends and be themselves. This is of vital importance to their physical, emotional, and social well-being, as well as encouraging an individual and determined mindset.
Here is just a small section of glowing feedback we received from Ofsted inspectors;
“The provider and management team are passionate about providing children with the highest standards of care and an extremely exciting range of activities and outdoor experiences. Children are enthusiastic and have an exciting time at the setting.”
If you are considering enrolling your child into a breakfast, after school, or holiday club, and want access to the area’s best childcare provider, Tree Tops are the club for you!
